Our Library
Librarian, Clare Watsky
Sherman
School is so fortunate to have a truly beautiful,
spacious and well-equipped library. All
students visit the library once a week to check out
books and have either a read-aloud session or a lesson
in library skills. Library lessons vary depending on
the grade level, ranging from identifying the different
sections of the library, to searching the online catalog
for books. Help with research on assignments is
available by arrangement with teachers. It is hoped
that by being exposed to the mysteries of library
organization, and the pleasures of books and reading,
students, when they leave Sherman will ever after find
libraries to be familiar and welcoming places.
Thanks
to the volunteers, staff and Principal Matsuno who make it
happen!
